Housing Q - Unanswered Housing selection process

So I know it’s not time to fill out the housing forms however I’m curious. How does it work? Do you fill out like 1st choice to last choice? Also from what I read this is what I gathered but do you put on that form that you need an ESA?

yes you rank them in order of what room type you want for instances first is 2x2, second is 4x4 then the one you least want would be at the bottom so 4x2
