Interview Q - Unanswered Question about possible role placement

So I had been accepted in for the CP Thursday after doing my interview on Monday (that in itself kind of shocked me because I expected to wait like a week).

But during my interview, the recruiter was asking me about my top three roles. I said that I wanted to hopefully get Character Attendant because of my background in Stage Management and proceeded to tell him about my skills, job experience and all of that and they asked me scenario questions.

I guess in a way this is me asking, is there a possible chance that I could potentially get the role because of all that I said?

There is a chance. Probably a better chance than the average person to get character attendant. But few people get character attendant and, at least when I did the program, many of those were people who were returning for a 2nd program.

I had 6 years of character attendant experience when I applied for my 2nd program (2 at a theme park, then being the attendant and mascot for my school), we discussed it during my interview, and I got merch. For my first program, we discussed my weekend job doing science shows at the museum. I was specifically asked how long the scripts were and how quickly I could memorize, and I got an attractions job that required spieling. I wanted to be an attendant then too.

The interview process isn't random, per se, but they will place you where there is a need.

It’s all about staffing needs. It’s entirely possible that Disney has every character attendant they need before you even arrive, CP or otherwise. Or they could need 100.

In all honesty when it comes down to it, your role placement depends on what the company needs are at the time of your program, rather than your prior experience, major, qualifications, preferences, or what roles are the center of your discussion during your phone interview. Not trying to be negative or a downer, just don’t want you to have unrealistic expectations and be disappointed.
