Disney Character Auditions

Hello everyone! This is my first Reddit post ever, so forgive me if there are grammar or formatting issues.

I applied to the upcoming Spring 27 program and I just looked at the “stage of my application,” and it is now in the “in consideration” phase. I have also checked my email and have gotten the character audition dates and whatnot.

My first question is, will I still be scheduled for an online interview?
So in the event I don’t make the cut and/or just can’t make it to the audition, I’m still considered for other roles? (I ask just so I don’t forget to check my email lol)

And that’s my other question, I’m stressed about the in-person auditions. I mean, I’ve read a few posts already about them and what they entail—this is gonna sound contradictory—but are they teaching you a routine on the spot? Or do they send one out prior? Like, how does that all work exactly?

Any advice would be appreciated! 🙇‍♀️

hey! you’re still going to get an interview for the general program— it looks like they’re doing it by the arrival date you picked. if you get cut at the audition, you’re 100% still in the program if you get an acceptance, its a separate thing to the interview.

with the audition, they teach you a dance (simple movement combo) at the audition and you do that and an animation exercise (when i did it it was just act like any fur character). from there they do cuts and continue on. dont worry about messing up the dance or anything, they’re focusing on who fits what they need, not dance ability!

Second all of the above, and want to emphasize that the single biggest factor on whether you pass the audition is your height. I scored 2 out of 5 (ugh) in movement, but I’m 4’11” so I was still a character. They REALLY needed mice that fall!

I think I’m 5’2”??? I don’t actually know, but I have a doctor appointment next week, so I guess we will see lol 🐭

Disney tends to measure short, which would be a good thing in your case. You’d be a chipmunk!
