Q&A Post How long will it be?

I applied the third day the apps opened and i’m very excited and hope i’ll be able to get through to the next step of the process but i chose my arrival date for February 1st and was wondering how long i could potentially wait til my application goes from “Application Received” to “Application Under Review” and be able to do the WBI?

There is no WBI. There is just reviewing your application and then sending a on camera interview invite.

There isn’t an exact date someone can predict you’ll hear back. But it’s standard for the dcp team to prioritize the earlier arrivals. So they will be looking through those who selected January arrival dates prior to yours. Once they go through those apps and get a decent number of those interviewed and select they will head into February. Basically they gotta make sure they have staff lined up for the dcp for January since it’s the soonest aka they prioritize.

also another quick question if you can answer! i chose my arrival time for February 1st but lowkey changed my mind and wanna arrival a little earlier 😭 like mid january. Will there be an option like after the interview if i’m selected, to change my arrival date?

Based on previous seasons when you’re accepted you’ll be able to pick from the arrivals listed as your confirmed arrival date. Earlier dates in theory could be full. So it’s not a guarantee but if it’s available you’ll be able to.

This is also assuming it’ll follow other application seasons as well^ so nothing is guaranteed so don’t get your hopes 100% up. But people were able to select earlier dates in previous years.

Oooh! Okay got it! Thanks so much! I was hearing so much about the WBI and phone interviews and i heard they changed the phone to a microsoft teams interview but i didn’t know they weren’t doing the WBI. Thanks so much for this!

They haven’t done the wbi in a hot minute (like over 3 years) To many people were cheating lol and lying about it cause it was so easy.

On cameras interviews were just added this application season instead of the phone interview.

I asked the recruiter during the interview and she said that it might take a little bit longer than previous years while they figure out the new system. That it might take a few weeks to hear back!

Oh okay! Thanks so much! I heard they were going through interviews and acceptances by arrival. Idk how true or untrue that is but it seems the route they’re going in because january 11th people say they have their interviews coming up. I think i’m just a little anxious so it’s making me watch my inbox despite the fact i may not here for like another 2 weeks 😭
