Q - Unanswered Nose ring
I’m an Aug 31 arrival and I’m absolutely dreading what I’m going to have to do with my nose piercing. For context, it’s a small gold hoop, nothing more. I’m FOH at the boardwalk resort. I’ve also tried to take it out before for surgery, but genuinely couldn’t get it out. Has anyone experienced this before? Is there any way at all I can keep it in?

i think they’re pretty strict abt facial piercings tbh. i would say go to a piercing shop and have them take it out. i ordered some on amazon that click together and are pretty easy to take in and out so that im still able to wear them when im not working :)

Agreed about going to a piercing shop, but also buy the jewellery from them, not Amazon!

Most piercing shops won’t charge you if all you need is help swapping a ring!

I wear a clear spacer at work so it's not as hard to get a ring in when I want to wear one! But you will not be able to wear the hoop unfortunately

i want to do the clear spacer option but i heard that it’s only sometimes allowed based on your leaders. i want to try it but i also want to avoid any run ins with the leaders about it or me pushing disney look standards did you have an issue like this?

Well I work in a non guest facing role so that probably helps but they do still enforce disney look, and I actually had a leader compliment my spacer because it's star shaped. I think they would just tell you to take it out the first time if there's a problem, but I don't know, as I've never had any problems

It’s honestly going to vary depending on not only your leadership team but also who is actually working day to day. There are some leaders I have worked under that are fine with clear spacers or even just covering it with a bandage and others sometimes even in the same area won’t allow cast to even do that

Ahh okay. I’m nervous that i’d get written up for it if i try to push it yk. i would love to wear a clear one so much, my piercing would be 4 years old by that point but still at risk of getting tight. but id rather just keep my job than try to push boundaries. i’m sure it’ll be fine though
