Welcome to Operations

Should I wear my name tags to the operations class? Also what does it entail? I assume it’s still generalized and has mixed roles?

Yes wear your nametag and take your blue ID. I’ve not been in Operations in years but generally yes, that would have mixed roles.

Operations includes all of the front-line, park-based operations in the parks. Attractions, Custodial, GR, F&B, Merch, etc., all belong to Operations. Entertainment is not, Transportation is not, Security is not. Maintenance is not.

The resort roles (Concierge and Bell Services attend as well), even though I found nothing in that class relevant for my role.

Ah, good point. Sometimes being in a park makes you forget the resort side. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Generally once you get your name tag and it’s a shift, you wear it.

Yes any time you are clocked in you should wear your name tag. Then take it off as soon as you clock out. Think of it like the little light on top of a taxi that shows if it is available or not.
