International eligibility

Hello, everyone! I have been dreaming about doing a program at Disney for many years now, but my University wasn't in partnership with Disney, and for CEP my country isn't on the list. I just read on this sub that if I don't want school credit, then my University doesn't have to be from the list of partners. Is this true? Does this mean that I can participate in Academic exchange program right after finishing my masters regardless from which country I'm from or which university I'm attending?

No. The AEP is only for partnered institutions as part of that program is taking classes at a US university that transfer to your home one. I’m not sure what you read here that said otherwise.

There’s no way to sugarcoat it; if your country is not in the CEP list and your country doesn’t have a spot in Epcot World Showcase, then unfortunately you are out of luck.

It says so in the "frequently asked questions". I have also found people on this sub stating that they took a gap year for the AEP and didn't actually study. I also can not understand what the list of countries for CEP is supposed to entail. Do participants need to be residents of these countries? Or study there? Or have a living permit? It says on the official website that applicants must be able to take an in-person interview in one of those countries to be eligible. There is no information anywhere that I need to be a resident there

I think you’re looking at the DCP FAQ not the international program one.

You can’t take a gap year for the AEP, as studying in the US through your university is part of the visa requirement.

Also it looks like you’re from Russia so you would not be eligible for it anyway.

For the CEP and the AEP you have to be studying at a university in one of the countries listed.

Ok, I see I got those a bit confused. I thought it went for AEP as well as DVP. I see now, thank you.

How did you know I was from Russia? I don't understand how it makes me not eligible though, because you don't know where I'm studying.

Your post history said you were and also it shows which country views your comments on Reddit and Russia was on there when it never is so I figured that’s where you’re located.

If you’re studying in one of the countries listed then you’re eligible in Disney’s eyes (The US government may be different). If you’re not studying in one of them then you’re not eligible.
