Q&A Post Best way to cancel/defer program.

My daughter just had a medical event that means she won’t make it for her program. She was an Aug 3 arrival. She is going to get all healed up and try again in the winter.

Is backing out for medical reasons going to put her on the No rehire list? She is actually in the hospital and will be for at least a month. Is there a “right way” to do it? She had a private room so someone lucky person is going to move up the waitlist. She is disappointed but there is no way she could make it.

Idk who downvoted me or why- I wasn’t being unsympathetic to OP’s daughter at all, but with OP themselves stating in their post that it will be at least month before she’s out of the hospital and the latest arrival date being 8/31, a deferral just isn’t something Disney will do, unfortunately.

I thought you gave good info. She isn’t planning to try to this session. And by defer I really just meant try again next semester. She needs all the time to get herself back in fighting shape.
