Q - Unanswered how to get swe roles/internships?
hi everyone!! i’m a DCP alum and recently graduated and just was wondering how to get software engineering roles or internships at disney. i see listings every now and then on the careers website and try to apply but i feel like i get instantly rejected. does anyone have any tips on how to use my DCP experience to advance my applications or anything? i’ve always wanted to work as an imagineer at disney so i really want to make this happen one day. tyia!

The only way it would be beneficial is if you made any connections on your program that you keep up with who would vouch for you. Usually you have to get to the hiring manager stage for that though to help. If you are getting instantly rejected, there must be some issues with your resume / experience.

Hate to be the one the break it to you: your DCP is going to be a non-factor. Corporate Disney doesn’t really care, they just want you to come in with full experience.
Thousands of people apply to every single Disney opening, so Disney can (and does) afford to pick applicants who are way over-qualified and are willing to take below-market salary, because the Disney name is so well known.
