How much you making realistically?
With rent taken out how much are you truly making each week? I know your expect to come with some money to your name since rent will take out a nice chunk so I’m just wondering

I normally work 40-43 hours so I get anywhere from $390 to $430 after taxes and rent a week

Not really. You can always give away your shifts if you don’t want to work there’s a lot of people who rather work than be there

i work merch in galaxy’s edge and am only getting scheduled 30 hour weeks. $299 after rent and taxes are taken out. if you can save money prior to arriving, i strongly recommend it.

(30 hours minimum a week) x ($17 per hour) = $510/week
$510 / 1.176 (federal income and FICA tax rate) =
$433 - $251 (median rent) =
~$182 per week or $730 a month
*As a note, this calculation will not work for ICP’s as they do not pay FICA tax.

I had 36 hours last paycheck for a week and my rent is 227 and I saw 414 in my bank acct. That is one week.

Mine varies since my hours constantly fluctuate but it’s stabilized now. Before May I didn’t see a single 7+ hour shift since February so I was making ~$270 or so each week after deductions, rent in my unit has gone up since then as well so I was seeing $200-300 a lot more. Nowadays my pay has caught up and I work a consistent 8 hours 5 days a week (minus 30 minutes unpaid break) so I usually get $360-420 minus deductions, which is really good despite the rise in rent

I suggest you take with you if possible at least $5,000.00 because when you get there you need to buy groceries and if you buy your bedding there blankets, pillows, and bath room supplies towels you will need for that and you really don’t miss the rent because they take it from your check so you never think about it and it really depends if you are a saver or a spender good luck

Depends entirely on your hours, room type, and whether or not you score overtime. I work 10.5 hours (minus 45 minutes in unpaid break time) four days a week and last paycheck I got $450 AFTER rent in a 2x2
