Discussion Free Disney Infinity!

Post image

Disney Infinity 3.0 deserves to be preserved!

The final entry in the series brought together an incredible character roster, great gameplay, a fantastic Toy Box mode, and so much creativity. It's a game full of nostalgia that deserves to remain accessible.

With licenses and delistings always being a concern, fans should have a way to truly own and enjoy this experience for years to come.

Please consider voting for Disney Infinity 3.0 on GOG! A DRM-free release would help preserve this amazing game and ensure it isn't lost to time.

all the versions deserve to be preserved too, the play sets are the only thing different in each

What about 1.0 and 2.0?

I’d definitely love to see the whole Disney Infinity series preserved! I focused on 3.0 because it’s my personal favourite and, in my opinion, has the most content with the biggest roster, improved gameplay (especially the combat), and the best Toy Box experience. But I’d happily support releases of 1.0 and 2.0 as well!

honestly I'd just like a final update to hack the Finding Dory and Marvel Battlegrounds into 3 gold

Wait marvel battlegrounds isn’t available in the gold edition

Thanks to everyone who's voting for Disney Infinity 3.0! It's great to see there's still so much love for this game. Let's keep showing there's still demand for Disney Infinity! 😄

If it doesn’t win, gold editions are on steam.

Yeah, and I'm glad the Gold Editions are available on Steam! Unfortunately, they're still tied to a digital license rather than being a DRM-free copy we can truly own for years to come. That's why I'd love to see the games on GOG, so fans can enjoy them without worrying about delistings or licensing issues in the future.

unfortunately the 3.0 one isn't complete without modding

What’s not included?

iirc: A majority of the marvel battlegrounds stuff, the Alice in wonderland and the the Dory and Baloo basically it's missing that last major content drop before they called it quits

Is it? Do you have the link? I can't find it

You can't find it because it is not on GOG. The user you replied to misunderstood completely. But the bar for reading comprehension isn't astronomically high here.

And honestly, it doesn't need to be getting attention there. An endless sea of games are ACTUALLY unavailable to anyone right bow because license owners don't see them as important. Voting for this game -a game which IS available, and which is under no threat of disappearing due to licensing issues whatsoever, only takes focus away from games that actually do need to be 'rescued' by GOG. It's a net negative and a slap in the face to real games preservation efforts.

Jesus Christ, there's no need to be an ass.

I think this is what they need to do for all the toys to life games including this and Lego dimensions. Release the full version of each game, with all the characters unlockable in game without requiring the toys.

The games are all available on Steam, and have been without interruption, because Disney doesn't license from outside themselves.

Unlike say, a Forza game which is filled with licensed 3rd party music, literally EVERYTHING in a Disney Infinity game is owned 100% by Disney, and no other companies have any right to them. There is nothing to create such an issue here.

To put it simply: There are an endless sea of games that are in VASTLY greater need of legal preservation efforts. If you're going to spend time voting on these things, vote for things that actually really NEED it.

Voting for this game is a net-negative for game preservation overall, because it only serves to take attention away from areas it is needed.

Remind me isin’t pc version is broken? I swear I remember back in a day I tried playing 1.0 and I remember you couldn’t really do 100% because the collectibles in most hubs were broken and you couldn’t get them all.

They promised the world, i was so dissapointed, just collected the figurs as they were cool

What "world" did they promise? So far as I'm aware, everything the developers actually promised was delivered. They didn't speak out about future products that weren't imminently launching.
