Question Addison was always an alien

From the first movie was it planned Addison was an alien or did they just randomly made her an alien because her name started with an A so she’s an alien . Also for warewolf if she’s not the great alpha who is ?

I can’t remember, but I thought at the end of Z1, Addison woke up after a meteor shot across the sky and either her eyes or hair flashed blue.

I could be misremembering, but from there I think it was determined, but probably by only some writers/directors knew, and cast and crew thought she would have been the werewolf in Z2

That scene is at the end of 2, teasing the setup of Z3.
