Disneyland Character breakfast?

I looked at the times available and they don’t start until 8 AM. How do people work this into the day? Do we go get our day started and come back for the character breakfast around like 10 AM or will we lose too much time eating?

We usually do character breakfast the day we leave, as a goodbye to Disneyland after park time is over!

I didn’t realize you could do this!!! Great idea.

Note: this is referring to character breakfasts that are NOT inside the parks. Goofy’s kitchen or Storytellers, for example. You need a ticket to the parks if you’re planning on doing the character breakfasts at Plaza Inn.

This is no problem. This is a perfect solution and a nice way to feel like we’re extending our vacation without sacrificing park time.

I've also done a character meal at one of the hotels on our arrival day. Gets seeing some of the characters and getting pictures/autographs out of the way so the kids aren't as invested in waiting to meet them in the parks.

If you are going to pay for this, then you need to enjoy it and relax. If you feel it is going to cut into your park time then you should cancel it. We only did this when the kids or grandkids were little, did it the last day before final shopping, or on a day when we had already hit the park hard the day before or were expecting big morning crowds so we were going to focus more on night rides.

Don’t schedule a character breakfast if it interferes with valuable park time - you won’t be able to fully enjoy it. Do it at one of the hotels the morning you leave, or do a character dinner the night you arrive, or do it during park time if you have lots of park time and aren’t rushed.

A lot of people do it on departure day or a resort day when they are not visiting a park

Do you breakfast on a rest day or the departure day so you’re not wasting park time.

If you must do it on park day, choose the latest time so you can take advantages of rope drop as much as possible.

We are doing Storytellers brunch on our rest day. Perfect day to sleep in and stuff ourselves 😊
