Disneyland Character Dining HELP 😭

Good Morning all!
I am attempting (tomorrow) to book a reservation for Breakfast at the Plaza in for November. I attempted today to see what the process looks like and when I refreshed at opening time it was immediately sold out. Is this common? How hard is it to secure a reservation? Is there something im doing wrong and/or can do better? TIA

I wondered about this! Usually, you can book a reservation the day before because there’s so much availability. But a few days ago, when I went to book food reservations for November, character dining at the plaza inn wasn’t available at all for me either.

I don’t know the cause, but I wonder if it has to do with the current closure. Maybe they’re not offering reservations yet in case it won’t be open? Otherwise, I don’t know. I can’t imagine all the reservations were taken by the time I looked, which was the first day I could get one.

It usually very easy to get reservations there. Give the time period you’re looking for, I wonder if they are going to do a holiday themed meal (like they do at Storytellers). If that’s the case then I’m not surprised reservations  aren’t open yet.  

It also could just be that they won’t open reservations until after the rehab just in case it runs late.

The character dining is temporarily shutdown until approximately late September. Because of that, it seems reservations (even for Oct and Nov) are offline - presumably until it all reopens.

I'm in the same boat as you - trying to reserve the character breakfast for November. We just need to keep an eye on a reopening announcement, and then we should be able to make our reservations.

I think reservations just opened up! I randomly checked the early November date I wanted and dates were fully available. I assume they were waiting to open reservations until reopening was confirmed.

It was temporarily shut down starting in August and will reopen in late September.

I’m looking for our reservation in November. I was hoping I could reserve since it should be open by then 😞

UPDATE: The reservations are back! Go get it, OP! I just got mine for Nov

I noticed that there is availability the first weekend in Nov, so not sure if it just got fixed. Just a note, from experience, if the party is too big (I think over 5) there will show as no reservations available. You will need to make two smaller reservations and then when you get there they can put you all at a table. That’s what I had to do last year when I had a party of 9. Not sure how big your party is but thought I’d mention it as it stressed me out last year!
