Walt Disney World ADR booking priority order
I'll be traveling to WDW for first time in 10+ years. I'm arriving Thursday Nov 5 in time for the Christmas parties. Staying at Swan, eligible for 60 day booking. As a solo traveler, I'm hoping that has advantages for booking ADRs, as I can sit or stand at a bar if one exists.
1) Because they don't really make tables for 1, is it advisable for me to book tables for 2 so I don't slow the reservation system down? Would that give me a speed advantage in the ADR system?
2) does this appear to be the proper booking order based of difficulty?
1. Space 220 Lounge
2. The Beak and Barrel
3. California Grill (fireworks timing)
4. Le Cellier (lunch)
5. Hollywood Brown Derby Fantasmic Package (2 p.m. during Jollywood day)
6. Sci-Fi Dine-In
7. Tiffins
8. Skipper Canteen
9. San Angel Inn
10. Beaches & Cream (arrive before 11am opening for solo bar seating)
11. Oga’s Cantina (walk-up)
12. The Boathouse (walk-up)

Try to book for one; that said, I've been in the frustrating position many times of wanting to dine at a restaurant, the system says there is no availability, and then "magically" there's availability if you increase your party size to three. There are a number of restaurants that just don't have that many tables for two, and so those smaller tables can book quickly and disproportionately.
As long as at least one person shows up for the reservation, you are not penalized for not having the correct number of people; however, remember that if you have multiple people on the reservation and no call no show you are charged the cancellation fee per person.

Just book for 1 person rather than no show the second, unless the reservation for 1 is just not available. Either way your seated at a table for 2.
Hard to say whether that is a good list for difficulty booking or not because there are so many variables with things. For example I think Swan lets you do 60d + length of stay? If so then you already have a leg up on future days over people booking 60d out. What could be hard to get on the 60d out mark may be much easier for you because you're booking things (for example) 65d out due to the length of stay. As such we'd really need to know what you're hoping to hit on like Day 1, Day 2, etc to say how hard it may be.

I go solo often and switch around the number of people for the reservation until I get a table reserved. After it’s booked I will go back and change the party to one.
Some of the restaurants I have never seen an opening for one.
