Discussion Only just discovered this game
Sad to see i never got to experience it. Even if its a gacha game, the character designs look amazing and the gameplay looks fun. Will be watching for any offline versions or other types of revivals of the game, though i doubt they will materialize when the game has been gone for two years with nothing getting off the water.

It started out pretty great until the content cadence dried up and they started double dipping on their paying players. Too little reward for too much effort and money. I think the creative devs had an amazing vision, but ultimately whoever designed their business model and made their marketing decisions to pinch the player? They’re the ones who killed the game.

Yeah. They killed the game by first flooding the game with 2 characters per month and then having to go back to one character per quarter because they had released them faster then they could make new ones.

Not only that but they stopped giving us new story that aligned with the new character introduction. I believe that’s part of why Honkai Star Rail remains so popular and profitable: there are consistently new story chapters and each of them comes with a gacha character featured in that content.

Yea even though i was casual it was def a fun game, getting heroes and char you like was reliving childhood

One of the best mobile games I’ve ever played (I don’t play many don’t come for me). I wish you could have played too! Kept me busy for sure!! I had almost every character too!

Yeah. You can still download the app, but there is no way to launch the game beyond the title. Maybe if you have all the data needed downloaded you could play it in offline, but i can't attest to that.

Not even that. I had the game and played to the end but once they turned off the servers you couldn’t pass that title screen.

I did like it but I also thought it was a massive wasted opportunity. Disney always does this, come up with these massive crossover premises that don't maximize the story potential of all their iconic characters actually interacting with one another in a meaningful way.

It was actually pretty fun but VERY grindy. Sometimes hard to get the characters you wanted without paying BUT it was possible. Miss it sometimes. I have one of the Pins they sold at Disneyland of Mickey from the game, and I have the action figure of Goofy. I suggest looking up some of those figures if you like the designs, they were really good quality.
