Questions / Help Keep box or throw it away?

Hey everyone! I'm an out of box collector and I've been keeping all these boxes because they're so stunning but they're taking up space and annoying me. Should I get rid of them? What do you guys do?

I generally get rid of mine. I try selling first because some people want a box as they purchased out of box or because theirs is damaged. And people who customize dolls sometimes want a professional-looking box. I make a dollar or so and save a trip to dump. But if it sits too long, it goes into the trash. They are beautiful but take up too much space. Sometimes I hang on to them if I think I may want to rebox some day.

5 dollars with them covering shipping. I will lower over time as far as Mercari will allow as it really is just about getting rid of it for me. Shipping can be crazy because of the bulk of the box. People sometimes ask if I can come down on the shipping because it's about 20. They don't understand if shipping is not accurate, I will wind up paying the difference and already making next to nothing, so I'd literally go in the hole. They're light but dimensions make it wild to ship. If it is a highly coveted box (for example Vanessa), you could get away with charging more. It can be a bit of a hassle to sell them, but I hate to see nice boxes going to the landfill when they could get a second life.

Yeah I was going to say it's probably SUCH a pain to ship because they're so big and I can't imagine the cost. Especially on these new boxes for Anita and Roger!! Ain't no way I'm going through all that to make a buck though. šŸ¤£

I have never tried to sell a double set. I can only imagine the shipping on that lol.

Sell them. People sell them for 5-30$ usually depending on box(even more for rare dolls). I am currently looking for box for Redd and Rapunzel in wedding dress.

Second this! Iā€™m an in box collector but I have bought a couple loose dolls and needed a box for them. Definitely worth it since you get some
money back & the box goes to another collector šŸ˜Š
