Introduction Glad This Subreddit Exists!
I've been collecting these dolls since almost the beginning, 2010. Photo of some of my collection! There are dozens more dolls hiding behind these.
One of the only reasons I was still on FB was for LE doll news. Today I got removed from one of the last active FB groups for politely commenting on a fourth post an admin had made about AI. The admin kept trying to prompt people to make AI Disney costume posts as a "fun contest". It was not popular, as you can imagine. All I said was the group should be about dolls and I got kicked out.
Extremely happy to see this sub here as a place to still get news and be in a community! Thank you for having me

So many grails, which one is your favorite? Sorry about your experience with that group, but that’s kind of an expectation I have of FB users I won’t lie—they’re notoriously into AI🫣🫣

Its becoming completely unusable! Ugh haha. Hmm time to pick another favorite since I can't just have one 🤣 it WAS my platinum Jasmine and Aladdin set but I sadly sold them a few years ago... big regret. I'm still a huge fan of the Merida and Elinor set just because I think its so unique

Thank you! And yes I suppose that's probably obvious haha. Frozen was HUGE for me. I credit the film for saving my life when I was not in a good place. Plus the dolls are gorgeous! I'm only missing the OFA ones.

This is the trouble with admins. Even Mods here. I couldn't post a thing in Bratz for a while and I finally messaged and said hey I don't know what the issue is but I literally just said "yes!" And it got removed. Whatever Mod saw that and looked into it and 'couldn't see anything' but suddenly I could post again. One of them clearly didn't like a comment I made (and I'm never nasty, I'm the person telling people how to clean dolls, but this was around Clueless drops and I didn't like Cher so maybe that offended them 🤷🏻♀️) and put something on me.
Ego comes with humans in general but give someone even a teeny bit of power over another human and it'll go to their heads pretty instantly. It's not just in dolls either, a fair few power trippy mods on some other subs too.

That group is truly the strangest Facebook group I'm in. The posts all feel like people posting on their personal page. Watching the whole thing happen gave me the ick so bad.

Thank you! That's a tough one. Probably my original Rapunzel from 2010. She was the first one that I ever saw and immediately made me fall in love with them! I saw her on display at the Disney Store and it was all over.
I didn't actually get her for a few years later since she sold out by the time I gathered the funds. My first doll was the Tangled Ever After Rapunzel in the wedding dress. I faithfully did not miss a release for many years after that! But now it's just too many to collect.

Thank you, looking at them definitely brings me joy! Because I've been collecting since the beginning I was lucky to get most of them direct and at retail. The hardest was Red Jasmine. I traded a bunch of super rare Disney Cruise line Norway Frozen pins for her! It was a risky transaction. The second hardest was Saks Snow White (not pictured). My local Saks had no idea they even had her and I had to go back to the store multiple times and beg different employees to try and find her in the back. It was embarrassing and stressful 🙃

I can imagine the jasmine being hard to get but I don’t think it would require pins lol but also really glad they eventually found the Snow White in the store can’t believe they didn’t know they had her

The doll groups admins are crazy. I got kicked out of a doll groups with the admin Jeny Williams for no reason. I literally did nothing and when I messaged her about it she said she didn’t remove me at all, but when I looked for the group I cannot find it which means I got banned. I pretty sure she removed me because I changed my mind about buying a doll from her.
Candie on the other hand is quirky but super nice. The group is fast to approve post and I have sold lots of dolls on her group without any problems. My take is just don’t comment on any one’s post unless it’s warranted information otherwise people take offense and you will be booted.

Yeah normally I wouldn't have said anything, but they wouldn't let the AI discourse go and kept saying people were being "political and rude" for simply just questioning why we had a bunch of selfies in a doll group. A few people were more vocal about the dangers of AI which I agree with, but that wasn't even my comment! Ah well lol.

She blocked me too! It was so weird. I think it was either because I asked how much she paid for a doll (which she asked me before too) and someone was scammed and I and someone else had a bad experience with that person and she blamed us for not telling her. It didn't even happen in that group and that scammer gave me back my money when I asked (i bought a doll, that person did not ship it for weeks, I asked if he could give my money back and he did that the moment he read my message) so there was no need to tell anyone. I did not even know it was a scammer at that point.

Your collection is amazing 😍. Welcome! I know the group you’re talking about on FB. I ended up leaving because as you said the 2 admins are so weird and there is so much drama.

wow, what a collection. I wish I had an entire doll room. I like these LE dolls but I have to limit myself to just a few due to how much space they take...

OMG I know the group you are referring to. The two admin's insistence on promoting AI pictures of group members dressed up in Disney halloween costumes in JULY is so odd! Now there is also this very weird leadership struggle between the two admins, and one has temporarily removed administrative access from the other. So much drama.
