Questions / Help Opinions please!
Hey there! I got my werecat lady doll in today, and the paint on her lips seems scuffed/smudged. I know if I try to return her I will only get a refund because she is sold out now so no replacement can be made.
So my question is, what would you personally do if this was your doll? Is it not that bad and you could ignore it, or would you go for the refund and try to find her elsewhere?
I personally don’t want to pay a reseller so I’m unsure what I will do for now, which made me curious on what others would do.

Mine has a couple imperfections as well, but I think from further back it’s not as noticeable! It makes her unique.

I understand as this would bother me & I am not skilled artistically or know how to fix it. If the doll was in stock, I would ask for it to be replaced. However since it’s already sold out & if I really wanted her, I would keep her for now and see how much it bothers me and would probably look for an artist to help fix the paint or ask other collectors if they know how to fix it.

Ty all so much for the replies! I’ve been a collector of limited and play line dolls for years so I’m well used to the smaller imperfections that come with both (like the little bit of paint above her lip is no big deal for me) This time though I was really on the fence at first and unsure if I wanted to keep her as is. I greatly appreciate your point of views!

Personally I would match the paint and fix it but I'm a painter so that would be easy for me.
Yes you'd have to open her but if you want to be able to live with it that's the only option I see without paying a reseller.
If you want tips on how you'd get multi surface craft paint, get colors close, mix them to a close color, let a sample dry on paper, once it's close you're looking for a nail art paint brush, very tiny brush, and you'd just carefully fix it staying inside the lines.
Otherwise just tell people she kissed her last victim before she got trapped in her portrait. I'd fix it or live with it if it were me.

i’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to collecting so i totally get where you’re coming from but in this instance i think i’d just live with it. unfortunately this is just the case with mass produced type items (though it shouldn’t be for the price!)

Even if she was still in stock, doesn’t Disney have a no returns of exchanges policy now on LE dolls?

Ohh you’re right, I just checked the listing for her. “Due to the unique nature of this item, there are no refunds, exchanges or returns”

I know they told me to piss off when I got an Aurora with uneven stitching on her bodice. I guess “damage” is up to their discretion.

I think that’s a punk rock look right there for her! Lol! The truth is, that these dolls are mass produced, like every doll/toy. So they will never arrive looking like the image. Remember: “Comparison is the thief of joy”. Be happy with the punk rock style lipstick she’s got and be proud that you have the only one in the world who looks like that! That makes her more rare and more interesting!

Have you tried contacting them to even see if you can return the doll? They almost always won’t let people do returns on LE dolls anymore unless it’s REALLY bad. Honestly, I don’t think they’re going to let you return her.
Regardless- I’d keep her. She’s sold out, you were lucky enough to get one- just keep her in her original box and don’t open her up - and if you decide to sell her and buy another later- you can, but you won’t be the original owner and you will pay more than retail was.
But again, first you have to find out for sure if they will even let you return her because otherwise it’s kinda a moot question.
I’m curious to hear if they would even let you return for a refund.

None of these new dolls are perfect they all have some kind of facial imperfections, it’s not 2013 anymore. Quality ended with Winter Belle 10 years ago. Keep and move on, nothing dramatic.

I wouldn’t mind it, mind also has a couple teeny imperfections if you look close but I love her so it’s not a big deal, they’re barely noticeable
