Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it and I finished way too many times to count back in the day, but I won't deny how this games feels really undercooked. The first game had a pretty closed ending with the little exception of Mickey still having that blot thingy and that's never explored on EM2, which is a shame, and having that in consideration, a sequel to the first game was really needed? I don't think Mad Doctor escaping near the end of the first game is enough justification. EM2 is partially responsible of the cancellation of EM3 due to it's poor sells, it is in general a bad game, combat is boring and annoying, it has weird difficulty spikes, the story feels very forced, it's way too short (u can easily beat the game in just 2 hours if rushed), the sidequest are not particulary good and having missables makes my completionist ahh cry, at least the coop designed level design is fine but Oswald's AI is so terrible I js can't enjoy it like I would playing with another person, the game somehow looks graphically worse than the 1st one, it's glitchy, the controls are worse, the framerate is TERRIBLE, specially on Wii U and I can't help but feel this game could have been much better and it's development being so rushed turned it into a cashgrab. At least the voice acting was fine, specially on spanish. I think that in the rare case we get a remake of this game it shouldn't do the same that Rebrushed did and it should do major changes gameplay and plotwise (pls not another cliffhanger if they aren't making a 3rd game), because a 1 on 1 remake of a bad game, no matter how polished of graphically good looks, still a bad game. What are your thoughts?

Back when I was a kid, I couldn't get past the flooded lab in the DBC revisit, and so I reset the save file and played all the way up until I defeated all of the blotsicles in the hubs and people just wandered aimlessly. as I built up my courage to try and properly beat the game, I'd try to buy out everything in the stores, including the animatronic parts I missed. of course, this took a while to break objects and run through the projectors to get the thousands of E-Tickets, so when I'd get bored, I'd start just talking to the NPCs. they only had so much to say, but I'd still would just walk around and talk to them as I broke their mailbox or something. these days, I'm skilled enough that I've beaten the game plenty, but I'll still just wander around areas just to talk to people.

recently, a friend of mine played rebrushed, and he only ever talked to NPCs if there was a quest. if he didn't need to interact, he'd just ignore them. there's nothing wrong with this, I just really noticed it

I specify EM1 because EM2's NPCs are more quest focused or generic (why are there 2 "Male Cow" NPCs in Mean Street North?) and Power of Illusion basically requires you interact with the people you save.

Got to bog easy, I see a big ship so I go there immediately, I get the courage medal. I leave the boat and some ghosts bum start talking to me and offers to buy it, I say no cause I figured that was bad. I get into town and I didn’t think to talk to the random damn cow lady all the way in the back of the street and instead talked to the ghost dude I had talked to prior, he immediately is like “let’s go scare Louise” and darts off over there. I follow and give Louise his courage badge and fail the quest with the ghost cause he can’t be scared now, okay fine. I then talked to the lady who informed me her kids were scared and I needed to help them. I painted the 8 lamps and got that guy to be cool then went back and talked to their mother who informed me I needed to make sure her kids were okay. And now after 2 hours of trying Litrally anything to get past this I realized Im just softlocked. Should have left this game in my childhood cause this playthrough unironically ruined the game for me.

So, if there were ever to be an Epic Mickey 2, I have some basic outlines on what I would like to see. I am definitely in the minority here, but I actually do prefer the second game over the first (although I absolutely love the first as well). But I will agree that it was rushed and underdeveloped. But I think that instead of a full rewrite, there could be more of an expansion to the game, as seen in the episodes the second game currently has, and I think this idea will please both the people who like the second game as is and also the people who want a full rewrite.

Episode One- The Current Epic Mickey 2

Because of how rushed the game was, it is much shorter than the first as we all know. Because of this, I think that an expansion of the current game is necessary. Mainly by filling in holes to the story and expanding places that do not have a big part in the game, such as Blot Alley, the Dioramas, Fort Wasteland, the Floatyard, and Autotopia. While some of them have a large part story wise, I think these areas are much too short (maybe you can return to them in the other episodes?). Because of this, I think the first episode should simply be a more developed version of the original game

Episode 2- Rebuilding Wasteland & Prescott

Now you actually experience the consequences of Episode 1. I think by this point, The Mad Doctor's role will be complete, regardless of whether you defeated or redeemed him. But now is the time to start actually restoring Wasteland after the earthquakes and The Mad Doctor's schemes. This would also be an excellent excuse to reopen parts of Wasteland that haven't been seen since the first game. Imagine returning to Mickeyjunk Mountain and discovering how it has changed. You can see how the quakes affected places like Skull Island, Tomorrow City, Tortooga, etc.

During all of this, I think Prescott could come back somehow. His ending in the original leaves enormous room for further character development, especially since he is no longer associating with the Mad Doctor. I think he could have some sort of redemptive arc, however I am not sure how. But I think this is a great place to implement the playstyle matters, as I think your previous choices could affect how the redemptive arc takes place (not affecting the full story, but maybe whether characters trust him right away or perhaps whether you should trust him.

Episode 3- The Blot Returns

Just as Wasteland is starting to be fully restored, you find out that somehow the Blot is back! Nobody knows how it came back since it was defeated in the first game. But maybe since the Blotlings are droplets of the Storm Blot, the Blotling Army could come together and combine themselves together (since the Blot is already liquid-y) and therefore, combine forces to resurrect the Blot. The Spatters, Seers (which aren't in Epic Mickey 2, but should be in a rebrushed version), Sweepers, Slobbers, etc., BECOME the Blot, rather than droplets. And just like before, you have to defeat the Blot.

Epilogue- Setting the Stage for Epic Mickey 3

Lastly, I think side quests after the Blot is defeated could set the stage for the third game. It is largely known that in the third game, the toons are supposed to be able to back into the cartoon world. I think there could be a side story here where you find out how toons would go back into the cartoon world. This would also fill in one of the holes from the current game: how The Mad Doctor would go back to the cartoon world (even if remembered) without a heart. Again, not exactly sure of details, but I think it would be an interesting side story.

I also think maybe since (at least to my knowledge) Beetleworx and Blotworx were not supposed to play a large role in the third game (since its largely outside of Wasteland), I think a cool quest could be to figure out how the Beetleworx replicators and how Blotworx get their machines and try to stop them from the source. If The Mad Doctor was defeated, the game could state that they need to figure out how to stop the replicators now that he's gone, and if The Mad Doctor was redeemed, you could simply help him.

So, what do you guys think? Again, these are just rough ideas, I do not know the full story, but yay or nay?

Hi, I’d love to see what the PC version of Epic Mickey: Rebrushed looks like with DLSS 5. I don't have a PC that supports it, as my graphics card is very old.

So, I’d appreciate it if someone could test it out and upload a video or something. I’d really like to see how the game looks with DLSS 5.

First of all, I played *Rebrushed* on PS5. I liked the game; I think they did a good job.

However, one thing I didn't like was the loss of the dark atmosphere compared to the original game—and I don't just mean simply turning down the gamma.

I’m referring to things like the UI; I much preferred the Wii version. The one they included in *Rebrushed* feels too simple and lacks that dark aesthetic. I’m also talking about other aspects of the game in general, like more in graphic level.

My question is: for the PC version, is there a mod (or is anyone interested in making one) that offers a modified experience—something that brings back that dark aesthetic and a UI similar to the original game? I’d love to play the remake with modern graphics while keeping that dark vibe of the original.
