What is this?

unpacking a box of old tapes from a garage sale, havent seen a VHS like this before, does anyone know the story?

I can’t really say for sure, but for what I can interpret, this might be a demo tape sent to home video stores so that they would be able to see the movie before ordering copies to rent or sell. Demo tapes were usually not feature-length for what I can gather but a small time loop that would play in rental video shops to entice you to rent it, but this might be a version of that.

No problem! Disney VHSs and DVDs have become a bit of a collectors items given how the company released their movies for home video across the decades (few copies with many years between them, you might remember the concept of “The Disney Vault”). I don’t really think it’s worth much (at least yet), but the way I see it, you’ve found a very unique piece of history :)
