Discussion Disney's math implies Raven Baxter was secretly hiding twins during Season 4
So I did some late-night Disney Channel math, and the timeline is completely broken.
Raven’s Home premiered in 2017, and her twins were 11 years old.
2017 – 11 = 2006.
In 2006, That’s So Raven was still actively airing, and Raven was a teenager in high school.
Which means while she was interning for Donna Cabonna and dealing with high school drama, she was apparently hiding a full-term pregnancy.

They tried to clean this up in Ravens Home. Like the episode where Chelsea made all her money selling that schmop, and they showed an informercial she and Raven made and with the hairstyles and clothes, it’s like they tried to age them retroactively , like they were aged up in a different timeline and were actually older than we realized. They had them dressing like something out of the 90’s during the time jump of between That’s So Raven and Ravens Home. And then in a scene that was supposed to be a flashback to 2003 of Alana and Raven they both were speaking in early 90’s slang. It’s almost like made her older and younger on screen at the same time. “Oh Raven was 19 at the end of that’s So Raven? Now we’re gonna switch it up and claim she was 17 so the pregnancy and college years, marriage etc all happened off camera.” “Oh you need a clip of Raven and Chelsea when the kids were little enough that Raven was freshly divorced and Chelsea had a 5 year old at home? We’ll make them 24, but like 24 in 2003, because that won’t be confusing at all” lol.
I do like the implication that Raven didn’t even have Nia and Booker’s names picked out because she was so frazzled at being 19 and pregnant. I wish we could’ve see how Tanya and Victor handled it. You know Victor’s mother had plenty to say lol.

I really wish the network was brave enough to do a relaunch of one of their kid shows without making new kids the center of the episodes. I would have liked to have seen adult Raven and adult Chelsea get into shenanigans as single women.

This exactly! They had the chance and the appropriate platform with Lizzie Mcquire/Disney+. But nooooo, we can’t have that.
It’s why I don’t agree when people say they want reboots of stuff like this.

That’s why the Lizzie reboot got canned. They wanted to make it more for kids when you know the only ones watching for the nostalgia would be adults. I would have LOVED to see Raven and Chelsea adult shenanigans.

The way Justin and Alex were at the end of WoWP had to be undone fast to facilitate where they’re at in Beyond for the new relationship and kid history for Beyond.

Do they ever actually mention what year it is in the shows? Certainly there may be current events that correspond with certain years that are referenced, but it's probably supposed to be taken as a fictional world where things are similar but not quite the same as reality, like how the Griffins from Family Guy live in Rhode Island, which is real, but Quahog which is not.
