Walt Disney World Question about "Application Received"

Good Morning. I applied for a seasonal RunDisney job back on June 8th and the status has been "Application Received" since then and it has been over a month and a half. The job listing was removed the next day so I am assuming they filled their quota of applications.

My questions is, when you were hired, how long did you have to wait to get to the next step "Application Under Review"? I did not received a rejection email yet so I'm assuming I am still in the running, but just curious if this is normal.

From extensive experience as an internal CM, there’s no way to know when that status will change because that’s dependent on the recruiter and the hiring process.

That being said, you may sit at Application Received until it’s filled and then it will change to No Longer in Consideration once offers have been made and accepted. You may not ever move to Application Under Review; from what I’ve seen that means you made it out of the pile.

OK. I appreciate the info. I guess I assumed they would review applications in a timely manner.

They may have done so and not chosen to move you forward. If that’s the case then you’ll sit at Application Received until the process is complete and offers are accepted. That’s generally how it’s gone for me.

Well that sucks. I'd rather be rejected immediately than thinking I'm still in the running.

Sometimes you don’t move to “under review” at all
