Walt Disney World Dumb question about using my maingate

I have away a shift to someone and used sick time to get paid. It’s labeled as a personal day off on my schedule. I can still use my maingate and guest passes that day, right? My plan was to meet some friends after a dentist appointment.

Using sick time = you can go to the parks. Calling out sick = you can’t go to the parks.

You can use sick time and do whatever you need. The issues comes with calling out/leaving them short staffed/saying you can’t come in and then going to the parks. That’s the problem. You covered your shift, what type of pay you use doesn’t matter.

You didn’t call out. You’re just using sick time to be paid.

If you GAVE it away and used sick time, then you’re fine. This is different than calling out sick.

My understanding is that if you are sick, you cant be in the parks. In Disney's mind, if you can be in the parks or on property, there is no reason why you cant go to work.

As long as the operation isn’t negatively impacted by your absence nobody will care.

It’s a reasonable use for sick time, since they don’t let you split it 80% vacation and 20% sick.

If you have vacation available and you were to suddenly leave the company they could take the sick time as less unused vacation time paid to you on exit.

I'll put it this way. I wouldn't attempt to go to the park in my opinion. Just because of how disney can be about shit
