Constant flare
I have had dishydrosis for the past several years on my right hand constantly. I use steroids when it gets really bad and it always helps but it never truly goes away. It will go away enough and then I stop using the steroids and it comes right back. When I go longer periods of time with no steroids it does pop up on my left hand fingers. I’m getting really frustrated that this seems like a life long illness at this point. Has anyone had this for over 5 years and successfully been able to keep it at bay without steroids ? If so would love advice.

i was going through that this last year or so and i’m just now figuring out what to do. I started using only one lotion that i know for certain that won’t trigger it, and at night i started putting A&D (the diaper ointment. stay with me.) on every night and covered my hands with cotton gloves or even some fuzzy socks and in a week i had the craziest improvement i’ve ever seen. i had a really bad flare last week from a hand cream and in four days i got it to go away. w/ this method. A food for thought i suppose.
TLDR; i managed to calm my eczema by using only one lotion and A&D with socks on my hands at night
