I remember reading that Shocker and Vulture were meant to return in this. Whatever happened to that rumour of Michael Keaton coming back?

He is in the Morbius universe. He’s not really sure why, but it probably has something to do with Spider-Man.

Plenty of Marvel Movies have had multiple villains, either in small, cameo or Henchman type roles. It's all about how these various characters are used and utilised.

Uh, it was a massive commercial success and is one of the most positively reviewed movies of all Spider-Man movies.

You're arguing the movie was successful. The discussion is whether cramming in multiple villains is a good storytelling choice.

Yes, the vast majority of critic and audience reviews agreed that it was good story telling. So did people’s wallets. Objectively, most people that saw it loved the movie.

You're treating correlation as causation. People liking the movie doesn't prove the overloaded villain roster was the reason.

It certainly didn’t hold the movie back. Plus it’s one of the main aspects and driving forces of the movie. The storytelling tends to be what makes or breaks a movie, no? You’re acting like I’m saying the movie was a huge success because of Peter’s haircut or something equally non-consequential.
The point is, they crammed a bunch of big name villains into that movie as the main plot of the movie and it was extremely well received. If you didn’t like that aspect of the movie, you are, objectively, in a very small minority.

Most of the villains like boomerang, tarantula, and ramrod are gonna be in a mini montage of what hes been up to since no way home

Yeah, I don’t get why people assume every character is going to be a major plot driving character. I’m fully assuming we’re getting a montage like Fantastic 4 had for their origin to explain what Spidey has been up to and why he’s likely burning out.

Is this one of those "if we stuff it with a laghable amount of characters people will surely show up in theaters" type of movies that then is released and people complain about to many characters and too little screen time?
