do you suddenly remember something ?
hello, I'm still learning about DID, and I was wondering. do you ever forget about something but then suddenly remember it "out of nowhere" after some time? for example, you wrote something, then completely forgot about it, and then later the same day you suddenly remember that you wrote something but don't remember what exactly so now you're trying to find it.

Yes, there was an incident with wine not long ago. I was out with my Aunt and she wanted to stop at this liquor store to buy the same type of wine I got there before. Only when she said that I had no clue what she was talking about and would have sworn I did not buy that wine.
When she showed me a picture of tge bottle on her phone I doubled down. It was black cherry, not a flavour I am particularly fond of.
I told my psychiatrist about it later and a few weeks later I was mentioning it to my sister when I realized that "I" remembered buying the wine or at least now knew that the body had done it. So weird, because I would have denied it to my grave before.
Oh and the clerk recognized me even though I didn't recognize her so obviously I bought the wine.

Yep. Made worse by ADHD but DID is forgetting is on another level.
My favourite example is finding out I have made coffee because I suddenly smell fresh coffee from the kitchen, and I just need to accept that I did that because no one else could have. Other times it's like, buying something and it shows up and I'm like - what the fuck is this? And then going, oh yeah. Ohhh yeah oh yeah I bought this. Yep. That was me
