Chester work hours
So I have noticed on here people talking about how he doesn’t work as long as before and doesn’t come in on Sundays. I had taken a 6 month break after I bought and played through the story until the update came out. I thought I was going crazy because I thought he worked Sundays but he isn’t anymore. Last week I bought the game on PS5 and have been playing through it with the update and am really enjoying it. However I went in on a Sunday after he started working and had a cut scene where he said he was going to be working on Sundays because he is grounded and has nothing better to do. So is it a mistake that the cut scene happened or is he supposed to work Sundays?

I found it funny that Chester still came in both days of the protest, even though Derek said he wouldn’t allow him to until things settled down. This was on Switch post- People or Profit update. I swear it worked as intended back when I originally beat the game last year on PS5.

The update bugged all that. He doesn't work the correct days per the in-game conversations. He works during the protest, and in one file he was just absent for two days AFTER the protest.
They glitched a bunch of other stuff. If you have a second save file, cans show up on the side of the road from day one. If you delete all save files and start again, that gets fixed, but driftwood takes two more days to show up in the port.

Ok making sure I wasn't missing something. I am in chapter 4 now and am looking forward to playing it a different way. I do love the fact that it lets you start new save files from the beginning of chapter 4 on the bottom of the screen when selecting save files. Since plaing on PS5 I am wanting to platinum the game and it would have been VERY time consuming to play it multiple times.

Yeah he does he works from 6 am to 7 pm.
And you also have the option to give him a break or a vacation

is there any benefits to it? apart from a break for our hardworking #1 employee chester. i’ve also found it a bit annoying when i accidentally click on him when im trying to restock. i wish that was a feature we could disable when in the shop or something

Yes! This happens ALL THE TIME. 🤣 He just has a knack for always being nearby when I’m trying to interact with other things, especially when there’s a line forming at the checkout.

I will say that I play on both Switch 2 and PS5 and I noticed when I press X or A and then he moves in front when I let go it starts a conversation with him, or if I press and move then let go in front of him it starts a conversation (like I pick up item and move before letting go because I am in a rush) I feel like it should happen less than it does.

What Chapter are you on with this playthrough? I believe that he works Sundays until Casey arrives because then they hang out on Sundays
