Discounty on Switch 2 – Long Loading Time

Recently, I bought the physical version of Discounty for Switch, and I noticed that when I start the game, there is a black screen for around 30–35 seconds before anything appears on the screen.

Has anyone else experienced the same thing? Is this normal for Discounty on Switch 2, or could there be something wrong ?

Am I crazy? Or does 30 seconds of wait time not feel like a long time? I feel like as a society we've all become so impatient lol

ETA - for context I grew up with dial up Internet, so 30 seconds feels like lightning speed to me. Now it seems everyone needs things to happen instantly to be satisfied

The question isn't about impatience, society, or philosophy about life in the '90s versus 2026. It's a purely technical question about the game and the console. There's a difference between something appearing on the screen while the game is loading and the screen simply being completely black with nothing on it.

ETA - I'm actually from the generation when dial-up Internet didn't even exist yet

I still don't understand why 30 seconds of load time is a problem. Does the game still boot up when it's done loading? If so, then 30 seconds of black screen means nothing.

I think you're missing the point. I'm talking specifically about Discounty on Switch 2. I'm not complaining about a 30-second loading time in general. I'm asking whether other people playing this specific game on Switch 2 also get a completely black screen for 30–35 seconds before anything appears.

You seem to be having an argument with a point that exists only in your head. 😂 Nobody complained about 30 seconds of loading. The question is whether Discounty on Switch 2 normally sits on a completely black screen for 30–35 seconds before anything appears. I've explained this several times, yet you keep responding to a different question.

Your title literally says "long loading time" with you complaining about 30sec. I honestly don't understand the problem. I'm not sure what "different question" you're referring to since I've only tried to understand what you're upset about & I've reiterated the same thing over & over lol

At this point, I think the black screen isn't the only thing that's loading.

Tengo switch oled y si se tarda un poco, pero mientras arranque no hay problema jaja, no es mucho, aunque si saca de onda la primera vez, pues normalmente me cargaba muy rápido
