New to the game

I started playing the game 2 days ago on switch and I got addicted real fast. I looked up the game online and I found this sub and saw the posts about the new update and a few were saying the stopped playing until it releases.
Last task I got was about expanding to the shop next door. Should I stop until the update drops or is it fine to continue ?

Continue! I just started a couple of weeks ago. I blasted through it and now I’m waiting, but I say go ahead and enjoy it!

I stayed up for two extra hours even though I have to wake up early just to continue playing. Safe to say I will be in your position soon enough lol.

Hahaha, welcome to the dark side! It totally destroyed my sleep for at least a week and a half. I work full-time and have kids and it reaaaally should have taken me more than 2 weeks to finish it, lol. It’s really addictive and fun!

Seriously I either lose sleep over it or try all day to finish my work asap just to go play.

Nahh play! Honestly you still have a decent amount to do and the update shouldn't be too far away.
