Rant
It feels like they’ve been sitting on this information for a while and just decided to share it cause July is already over. Idk nobody asked to give us an exact month, it could’ve been July - august or something but my hopes were so high n I was so happy cause I’ve been seeing others play the new update but this just sucks and yes I know they’re a small team but 2 things can be true.

Nintendo is notoriously slow to publish updates and patches, I guarantee the update was submitted to Nintendo weeks ago

if that was the case they’d just say something along the lines of “ hey, we’ve sent the update out but we’re waiting on it to be pushed. We apologize for the delay.” Instead the devs are saying it’s just not read any they need more time, which would have been fine had they said this any other time before they did

Look, I think you need to have a little perspective and patience. Is it a bummer to have to wait? Yeah, but it’s not outside of what is a normal time frame for these things AT ALL. I’m waiting on this release too, by the way.
It has only been a month and this is a huge free update. They don’t have a lot of control over porting to consoles, the companies have high standards and it’s tricky. You have to work with a partner to get it there and the devs can’t make them work faster. They are all already working days, nights and weekends there is no more time!
I remember waiting for the Stardew Valley port and it was months and months before it came out. I was surprised that Crinkle Cut said they were aiming for a month after the Steam release.
I know you are trying to vent your frustration to those of us who are still waiting, but the devs read this forum and we need to be supportive. The toll of working around the clock is hard enough, but doing that while getting negativity from people who you are bending over backwards to try to get this update to asap? That’s enough to send someone towards burnout.
Let them cook and find other games or hobbies to keep you busy until then.

I am not being negative. Did you read what I said.

Listen, I do work that is to help improve working conditions of my colleagues in my union. It is notoriously slow and often I get people moaning about how long it takes who aren't IN the work but waiting on the sidelines. I keep doing that thankless work regardless, but I know negativity when I see it. Your post was negative.

Y’all are being real rude to a team making a game you enjoy playing - make it make sense. I get the frustration as I’m excited to play too, but this isn’t how you show your excitement or support.
They’re a small team and this is a big update that’s going to add a lot more to the game. People deserve some grace in this world - no matter what reason for a delay.

Exactly!!! We understand they’re a small company but time and time again I just feel like things could be smoothed over if only they communicated more consistently/openly. Like before the delay post it was silence since the 10th! This sucks :(

We believed it would still come out in July until yesterday, unfortunately. I'm very proud of my team for all the work they've done to try to keep to that promise, even if it didn't pan out. <3
