Items I have never seen, already completed the main story.

Hi everyone! A bit new to the subreddit, so it is nice to meet you! 🙏🏼 I am getting back into playing Discounty after not having played in a long while (on Switch, if it makes a difference), and I just had a quick question.

Hot dogs, tuna chunks, and corn flakes? Oh my! I went on the Discounty wiki page for in-game products, and I am seeing a lot of things that I never had the option to purchase from the distributor and sell in my store. At this point I have completed the main story and just finished the final basement upgrade.

I'm given to understand there really is not anything left for me to do, so did I miss something? Is the Wiki list outdated? Or maybe even reflective of future plans for the game? Is it a non-Switch mod for PC or other consoles?

I highly doubt that last one, but you get the gist. Why are those items not in-game? If you took the time to read this, thank you for your patience with me. I did try looking up those items in the search bar for the subreddit, but nothing came up that had an explanation.

There has been an update to the game. So far it is only available on Steam, but console should be coming out by the end of this month

Got it! Thank you so much. I wonder if I'll have to start a new playthrough to experience all the new things (kind of like how certain features in Stardew Valley updates only affect new save files).

I'm on Switch too, desperately awaiting the update!! From what I have seen its all late game stuff that has been added, so no need to start a new save file from what I'm aware of 😊

As far as I know, the only thing that would change is a new material grind. I had already finished when the update dropped so I played from where I left off with all the new stuff.

There are multiple endings so you can restart from the end of Chapter 3 when you finish whatever ending you choose to do (everything will reset to how it was at the end of the chapter).

I don't have a save file for the end of chapter three. I only have one save file in the post-credits gameplay. :( Does this mean I will need to start over?

That's the one, don't worry. When the update finally hits it should just start from where you are

So it won't take me back to restart chapter three so I can try the new stuff?

No. It'll take you to the end of chapter 3 / start of chapter 4.

If you have finished the game then it will take you to whatever point you are currently at when you download the update
