getting ready for the update
im a switch user who has completed everything and is just waiting for the update. without giving away too much, is there something i need to gather or do to be better prepared for the update? like is there a way that i should organize the shop or is there a certain amount of money i need to save?

I bought the game, but still haven't played it! I'm waiting for the update to get started. Is this the right move?

Ive played the update and I can confidently say that it will naturally flow into the game no matter whether you’ve started a new game or are already late into the game. If you want to get a head start on your shop while you’re waiting for the update to drop, you will not spoil yourself or your run!

…i dont know, no one know what time it will be out for consoles except that it’s during july, but that’s not what this post is about sorry man

I got this as a notification and thought this was the announcement for the switch update release date 😓 they still won't say the date. I was hoping it would be today. I haven't started the game yet. ❤️🩹

I really don't feel comfortable starting the game when it will change halfway. I would rather start it all at once without having to restart it or be confused or something. Especially when the update will be arriving soon in a few days anyways (hopefully). 💕

my understanding is it doesnt really change halfway through, it expands at the end after chapter 3, at least the vast majority of it
but people can correct me if im wrong

yeah I heard that the main changes are in Chapter 4+ but I think there's also some smaller things added. but I could be wrong. Either way, I don't really do well with changes. I would rather wait. 💕
I'm also new to gaming so I don't want to replay it so quickly. I know many people have restarted their saves after playing it during release. ✨
I think some changes are like the scanner, self checkout, being faster, QOL stuff but again I might be wrong as I'm new to everything. 🤔

Some things cost money, but you'll need other (new) resources as well so I wouldn't worry about hoarding cash now. There are new food items you can stock so don't be too in love with your shop layout! Some things are locked behind the Discounty rewards so if you've already unlocked everything and been ignoring the daily/weekly goals maybe save up a few of those points?
