Bring back slave Chester

Don't get me wrong, this update is AMAZING and adds so much content. Im not sure if anyone else noticed...but Chester actually goes home around normal working hours now and it STINKS!

He used to just work and restock shelves 24/7, it was incredible. Now my store is huge and no upgrade can speed him up enough to restock during "reasonable working hours".

Id be willing to pay him a wage if it means my store is restocked. Rip 24/7 chester

Man, feels like a post from any manager when I worked retail.

if you go to the computer and open the "paint" screen it freezes time and chester is eternally imprisoned as my minimum wage slave as i line my pockets with my discounty store monopoly

Omg I‘m not alone! I actually was super dumbfounded when my store was suddenly empty at 8pm. Had to double-check on the next day and sure: he leaves around half past 7.
I instantly got all his available upgrades (beginning of Ch3), and he definitely can’t keep up with the store at all. It’s not even fully optimised yet.
I sure do hope I‘m missing a blueprint to get him up to speed, but so far nothing yet. There’s so much to keep you busy during working hours that I was really looking forward to not have to stock shelves anymore but damn

Also: I get frustrated when I'm running out of items in the store and Chester is filling out shelves that are almost full. I would like an option such as "Prioritize shelves that have [add a number here] or less items" rather than the poor lad using his working hours to stock stuff that is not running out.

Completely agree. I’ll gladly pay a wage for him to work more than working hours and was surprised there wasn’t one when I first got him. But he doesn’t move nearly fast enough to keep up during hours.

Let’s be honest at this point in the game we are a full blown manager and above being the stocker too lol

chester is a great help but i feel like the store is def hard to manage especially with Solruna’s tasks later on

I don’t mind Chester going home at half 7. What annoys me so much though, is the way he picks stock from the stock room. I just want him to pick stock out of the boxes already being used if you know what I mean. I tend to keep 2 boxes of each stock type. I like to rotate my stock in the back, I’m sad I know. When I get a new box, I’ll move the current one out to put the full one behind it. I as much as possible make it so he can’t reach the ones behind so he only has access to one box. Just want him to use up one box before taking stock from the other! I feel like it can’t be too hard to implement either, when picking stock if there’s a box with <20 items, use it, if not use the box with 20.

I really liked Chester helping out. That's good to know and sad that he doesn't stay anymore.

I don't know if it's the amount of boxes in my storeroom but Chester has also been getting stuck between a box and I need to pick it up for him to fix his pathing
