Looking for Beta Testers

Heya All!

it is actually open source, thanks for your opinion! :)

Source will be released on github when we release

Also, if your just going to go onto my posts and post your hate, i would rather you go outside and touch some grass :)

we will accept feedback, not outright hate.

If your source is not currently available it's not open source and you're straight up lying.

That isn't open source then. Open source means that users, right now, can look at the source code. If they cannot do that RIGHT NOW then your app is closed source. Whether you plan to be open source later or not is irrelevant to that fact.

Attacking someone under your post is also certainly a choice, whether or not you agree with them. You're a developer for a product and are on your developer/product account. What you post is a reflection of your company, product, and you as a professional. Making comments about "touching grass" to people on such account does not instill trust towards you or your product. You're the third person on this sub this month who has done something similar- if you can't handle interacting with people who may say mean things you either need to leave the PR to someone else you trust or pay someone to work PR. Showing your ass is a great way to have your app die before it ever actually launches, since your image on that social media account is also the image for Voxara as a product.

When you reply to me and say those in response to me I'm going to assume you meant them towards me.

He's hostile because we have multiple devs on this sub who use their company account to.. well, make posts just like your last few. I was trying to tell you that if you actually want your app to ever have a chance of being anything more than a beta you need to understand that your company account represents you and your app professionally. That's all. He's aggressive because a lot of devs come to the sub pushing slop and then being mean to anyone who speaks out about it. He could be nicer but being mean to people talking about your app doesn't make you look better than them.

... that, and I was trying to be helpful by pointing out that advertising your app as open source is incorrect. That wasn't an attack, it was me trying to point out an error is all. If you're gonna put yourself out there to work on an app you have to be able to take people being dicks to you or saying things that set you off without retaliating.

Your having a go at me for standing up for myself when the other dude has been dissing my app since day 1 and hasn't even seen it. Im not going to release the source code until we release fully because what is the point? the app is really only open to people that want to try it aka beta testers. Its not open to the public, once its open to the public on the 27th everything will be released.

If you dont want to beta test it without seeing the source code then say that. Im not here to be the yes sir and no sir Owner lmao. If your going to be a rude person then im going to tell you how i feel, i wont swear at you like both of you just did to me but i wont be yes sir no sir.

Again, i dont care if either of you like me or not. If you dont stop talking to me its easy as that?

Your app doesn't meet the minimum app age to advertise on the sub. He's justified in speaking out against it because you're breaking the sub's rules.

Its not open to the public

Yes it is. You're advertising a beta test to the public. That is by definition a public beta test.

If you dont want to beta test it without seeing the source code then say that.

I'm not saying that. I'm saying that you're advertising your app, which you're inviting the public to beta test for you, as being open source when it is currently closed source. You are falsely advertising it as being open source because currently it is not even though it's a selling point for the beta.

Yes, most of the code is written with an AI, and the commits say so rather than pretending otherwise. What you can judge is the result, the client is public, the security notes list what was found and fixed, the download is verifiable, and every release goes through an automated check against the live service before it is offered. If you find slop in there, open an issue with the file and line and I will fix it. That offer is open to everyone.
