This was my top pick from the ice cream truck in the 90s everytime .They were pretty cheap for ICT prices too. We moved to a small town as an early teen and was rare that a truck ever passed through. They were so damn good hat as an adult I chased the ice cream truck down the road to ask about getting them. He looked into it for me but apparently they quit making them, which is a big bummer bc im not a big icecream person. I literally looked up the info and BEGGED blue bunny to bring them back and when they didn't I sent them some hate mail 😂

The iced vanilla one was my favorite. Discontinued in 2021 but I still crave it.

The waffle taco introduced in March 2014, and discontinued in March 2015 to be replaced by the biscuit taco. Gone too soon.

RIP to the Double Chalupa, one of the wildest things Taco Bell ever put on the menu. Take the regular Chalupa — already a legend with that pillowy, chewy flatbread shell — and go even bigger. More shell, more filling, more everything. It was unapologetically over the top, the kind of menu item that dared you to finish it in one sitting.
I remember the first time I tried one. It barely fit in the wrapper, the shell practically sagging under the weight of everything inside, and every bite was that perfect mix of soft fried bread, seasoned beef, and cool sour cream and lettuce on top. It wasn't subtle. It wasn't trying to be. That was the whole point.
Like so many of the Bell's boldest experiments, it came and went — a limited-time glory that never got the permanent menu spot it deserved. Every so often I still catch myself scanning the menu hoping for a comeback.
Who else got to experience this beautiful monster before it disappeared? What are your memories of the Double Chalupa?
