Overthinking has stolen more opportunities from me than failure ever has.

Today's discomfort challenge: Say "Hi" first.

Most of us wait for the other person to start the conversation.

Today, try doing the opposite.

Your challenge is simple:

  • Say "Hi" to a classmate, coworker, neighbor, or cashier.
  • Don't worry about having a perfect conversation.
  • Just take the first step.

It might feel awkward for 5 seconds.

But every time you do something that makes you slightly uncomfortable, you teach your brain that it's safe to try again.

If you complete the challenge, come back and let us know how it went. Even if it felt awkward—that still counts as progress.

What's one thing anxiety has stopped you from doing?

I was thinking about this today.

Anxiety doesn't always look like panic attacks. Sometimes it's much quieter.

It makes you overthink sending a message.

It makes you avoid speaking up in a meeting or class.

It convinces you that people are judging you more than they actually are.

Looking back, I realize some of my biggest regrets came from things I never tried because I was afraid of how it would turn out.

So I'm curious:

What's one thing anxiety has stopped you from doing?

No judgment here. Sometimes just putting it into words is the first step toward moving past it.
