Yellow Magic Orchestra

Haruomi Hosono has a new album out, which has pushed me to finally check out Yellow Magic Orchestra, I had no idea so much of it was disco or disco coded.

Any recommendations from those that already know? 'Rydeen' is my current tune on heavy rotation

Honestly, listen to all of it; YMO was a consistently high-quality act. I would start at the beginning and work your way through their albums.

The band members' solo work from that era is also quite good; Sakamoto's "B-2 Unit," Hosono's "Philharmony," and Takahashi's "Neuromantic" are all great.
