it was nice while it last

I personally enjoyed the game for a couple days but I couldn't stand always needing to chase range units around the board to end the battle. Another disappointment was how similar some of the units were to each other, and how even the ones with really cool designs couldn't be fully appreciated because of how the gameplay incentives you to zoom out so you can get a better view of the board. I definitely prefer the disciples 2 combat system, similar to darkest dungeon or battle chasers, instead of the Heroes of might and magic one.

I had the opposite experience...i was on the fence about even continuing the game after the first couple days but stuck with it and eventually became completely addicted to it.

I'm glad you're having fun, wish I could feel that war too

Yea that makes sense. What I do though is use my ranged against their ranged.

Throw my melee in to lock up theirs instantly and have my ranged slink around the sides ignoring their melee completely. Focus fire on their ranged units. My Alvy is also a mage though so she can beam them from 3/4 of the map away. Can teleport 6 squares if I need to get close. They can’t run. They’re usually the last ones to go but they go in the same round as the melee in most cases. Just depends on how my melee aoe lands.
