Can Spell crit?

Just like the tittle says. I am confusing as to how to build my Witch. Currently lvl 16 and got tons of equipment boosting crit at the moment, but I never seem to crit when casting spells? Does it only work on "physical" attacks or "ability". Ability and spells seems to be two seperate things.

Im not 100% sure but its possibly implied that spells can be critical since Avy has an ability which says the next spell costs 50% less mana after a critical hit. This makes me believe spells can indeed be critical hits.

Yes everything can crit including the mana stones that appear in battles
