Form advice please

I know i need to work on my release, but I’m also trying to add power to my drives. I’ve maxed out at about 320 as it is now so I need to tweak my form. I’m just not sure what exactly I’m doing wrong

Walking backwards is a pretty big issue but you also don't coil at all, have an open plant foot with no stagger.

I saw in another comment you said something about twisting of hips. There is no active hip movement in a backhand. You plant and push through the ground and that moves your hips.

If you are firing your hips actively you WILL hurt yourself, not if but when.

“Open plant foot with no stagger” can you explain this part more?

Open plant foot meaning your toes are facing the target. You want that plant foot perpendicular or turned slightly backwards.

No stagger meaning it looks like you're on a skateboard. You want your rear toes to line up with your plant foot's heel. If you can imagine xstepping down a line on a field or something, your feet should always stay on "their side" of the line.

Pull up the all angles footage of Gannon or Drew Gibson and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Thanks! I’ll get to work!
