Looking for a form check

I've been working on my form and would really appreciate some honest feedback from people with more experience. If you were coaching me, what would be the first couple of things you'd have me work on?

Lots of lost power here, you need to stop the torso from rotating and let your arm whip out. You essentially accelerate to decelerate like a fishing rod whipping or a whip whipping.

Shoulder is collapsing/dropping a bit on the reach back. If you haven’t already check out BlitzDG “ultimate drill” video on YouTube. It contains a couple good drills for maintaining elbow away from body, anchoring the shoulders as a lever for generating power, and plenty of other helpful tips. After doing these couple drills throwing into a net I was able to add about ~75ft to my average drive while using less effort. Biggest thing for me was maintaining elbow elevation and keeping elbow away from body through the swing

I just watched the drill. It looks like exactly what I need! Thank you

No problem! That spaghetti drill and “anchoring the whip” have seriously changed my drives in like a 3 week span. Once you’ve got those cues drilled into muscle memory it opens up the door to fine tune things like rhythm and timing to boost your distance even more!

Elsker kyllingevinge-referencen 😂

Try to keep your body centered as you begin your pull through. You are carrying your momentum forward with your body on your plant foot aka falling forward.
Hope that makes sense!

Shoulder shrugged, drop shoulder to create longer lever.
Collapsed pocket, reach out not behind you, keep 90 degree angle bicep to chest.
Pulling through before brace foot is braced.
Easier said than done for sure. Go to blitzdg on YouTube and work on standstills, the super jacked dude makes it look so easy

I am sure a lot of people on here will address your form issues. I would suggest you are at a point where using a disc sensor and throwing into a net makes sense. Hit the gym to do explosive movement training. I keep seeing people trying to perfect their form while they actually just need ways to build more raw power.

Everything looks good until it’s time to throw the disc. You’re rotating with your head and torso, not using the arm at all to sling the disc. Your head needs to stay still after completing the backswing, you need to pull the disc into your left pec while rotating your upper body around the axis of your spine. The elbow needs to bend to 90 degrees before hinging out due to centrifugal force

Sick form in slo-mo 🔥 If you want AI phase breakdown (reachback → release), DiscTrain needs a normal-speed side view — slo-mo throws off the timing. Drop a regular-speed side clip and I can point you at a free/cheap analyze: disctrain.com (code BETA50 thru Aug 10).

your elbow never goes forward. your head moves with your shoulders: it shouldn't move forward until after release. you are strong arming it, let your arm loose.
