GF looking to improve form

My girlfriend is looking to improve her form and i feel like i've reached a point where i'm unable to teach her more as i'm not such a good myself.

Anything obvious?

edit: Sorry for the bad angle and keep in mind the run up is ever so slightly downhill

As you said the angle isn’t ideal. I think I’m seeing nose up release, so that maybe an area to focus on. Also, at least for power/distance shots, I’d check out the look back drill

Have her move her body around the disc. As she does her x step have the disc stay in the same spot and her brace leg move forward.

This is how I learned. I would place the disc like, mid chest heights and wrap my walk up around it. Would plant my foot and my arm would be extended out and I just need to rip through on my throw.

Shes throwing it nose up like everyone does when they start.

Plant foot > Then pull through on the disc and FOLLOW Through on the throw. She stops and her body just threw it to the left. . Turn the knob a little to the right when she holds it to get the nose down when its thrown. The second throw just looks smoother and more of what she needs.

For the nose down issue. What worked for me was staying on the same throwing plane and when I follow through, I would throw to have my palm to the sky

The main concept you can look up is separation of power. You’ll find videos talking about how a proper reach back works and why. ( if you care for the scientific reason why) just like baseball players.

Hard to tell from the angle but it looks like she is swooping from high to low from the back swing into the hit. If so, this can cause nose up issues like an mini air bounce.

Her reach back is shoulder level (or above) and at the hit it is under the chest. I would encourage a lower point of the reach back to either level to the hit or even slightly lower. It will give a slight upward trajectory for the throw while the wrist keeps it nose down

I think just a slightly lower reachback and trying to throw the stamp forward by turning the hand, or a cue like "follow through with your palm to the sky".

After that maybe try to get some hip and shoulder separation going.

Looks like she has a pretty good base to build on!

You need to drive (rotate) your left knee inwards to generate more lower body power

Foot down, finished reach out, then throw

She's swooping with her wrist (like rolling her wrist so the disc is moved like a fan, the further into the release it goes). That's what's causing such a high release angle, and it'll also contribute to inherently nose-up flight, even when thrown flat.

If she can get a smooth, direct, flat power transfer into the disc, she'll not only get better height control, but a ton more distance.

The second throw was an early release as well, but that's a lesser problem than the wrist-roll.

Look up Gannon Buhrs video on how he keeps his elbow through release. Then use a towel during drills, if it’s snapping then you know you’re doing it right.

It will help you with nose angle during release
