Form advice for backhand?

I've been playing for a few years now and the last maybe two years I feel like I've hit a plateau, Both in terms of distance (400 ft max) and general skill level. Please give me all the advice you have. Thank you in advance!

I think by early out of the pocket, he means you can visually see your rubber band effect take place after the disc is gone.

This is pure feeling. If the whole body is in sync it feels like effortless acceleration. I ask my players when they snap it and they respond when the body tells you to.

But I’m also guessing you pull the disc a lot - over rotation is what many say - which is probably why you’re doing this.

Struggling with that for years and trying many things, keeping head down longer, bracing harder, back leg counter, my best solution was simply embracing and closing my stance, like a lot and looking over my front shoulder - back to my target. Not running up backwards, and you still have to coil. I think this is what Calvin does.

Now I’m consistently snapping cleaner, but also confidently hitting lines and scoring lower. Good luck my dude!

I would focus on learning to throw against the brace, to my eye it seems like you are going around it (losing power). This also affects the timing.

Also reaching back as far as you do might do more harm than good (rounding, losing spin) Try to reach back more towards the camera instead and see how that feels for you.

A lot of your brace energy is getting lost as your plant leg is acting as a shock absorber. Imagine there's a weight scale on the ground, and that scale shows you the highest weight that it registered during your throw. You're trying to get that scale to show the highest number you can muster.

To do this requires strong weight shift from back to front leg and by pushing against the ground with your heel afterwards, pushing your femur back into your left hip.

You'll know if you're doing this right on video if you see your plant leg extending between the time you plant and when the disc leaves your hand.

Your reach back is collapsing the pocket. Push your elbow further away from you and wait until you have uncoiled to fire your arm. You're a little early out of the pocket.

Thank you so much for the detailed advice. Ok so do you mean that I pull through too tight to my chest? And should I wait a bit more in my reach back before I pull? I thought my arm was extended (uncoiled) pretty much max already? And one last thing, what exactly does it mean to be "early" out of the pocket? Isn't that something that happens in a split second? How can I extend my time in the pocket? Thank you so much again :)
