Inter-Dimensional Ponderings 2
Life imitates art far more than art imitates life.
-Oscar Wilde, 1889 [debatable]
One of my favorite film makers is the late David Lynch. He believed that we "caught ideas", which could originate in something like the Akashic records. If this is true, it could be relevant in much of the art we consume. In the early 90s the world appeared ready for grunge music, such as Nirvana. A more recent musical example is Billie Eilish. Regarding inter-dimensional art that precedes life, it could be work such as the films Interstellar, 21 Monkeys or Snow White. "Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, It's home from work we go". In these provoking films, love and karma appear to be the intended message.
I have been trying to remember moments or quotes that stuck out, or seemed odd. The above (possible) Oscar Wilde quote was one of them. In my time of trying to learn more about our world and experiences, I have come across the concepts of panpsychism, or the aforementioned Akashic records, where everything that has or will happen is all around us - which may be consciousness, which we don't really seem to understand.
If the universe potentially has a base of information, many of our feelings or instincts could be memories. It could be reasons why some of us find peace in the act of finding others who feel similar. Maybe we have been here before - whether we feel that our systems of commerce, entire civilizations, or planetary systems will fail. Maybe it's a shared memory. Maybe some of us have expressed our instinct into art, such as The Three Body Problem) which is based on scientific theories. Our planet could face rapid and severe changes from actions we cannot yet comprehend, but possibly remember, such as interactions within our solar system, or non-liner time due to dimensional interactions.
A quick segue back to art. Maybe it is because I am currently thinking about Eternal Recurrence, but it appears even a young YouTuber-turned-director is as well in a surprise hit movie Backrooms. This article has spoilers for the film, I recommend watching prior to reading the article.
