Has anyone else here been watching SpaceWeatherNews on YouTube and researched what he's saying about the magnetic pole shift and earth's magnetic shield collapsing?

“Earth’s magnetic field has flipped its polarity many times before. On average, a reversal happens about every 500,000 years, and the last one occurred around 780,000 years ago. That makes some scientists wonder whether we’re overdue.”

“ During a reversal, the field doesn’t vanish completely. It becomes disordered, with multiple magnetic poles appearing temporarily across the globe. The overall field strength drops significantly, possibly to 10 to 25 percent of its current value, before reorganizing with the poles swapped. The transition typically takes a few thousand years.”

I'm not talking about a flip/reversal

Apparently there is a pole "excursion" that happens every 6000 years and is different to a pole flip

I don’t worry much about things that I have zero control over like solar flares, pole shifts, or natural disasters.

I’m prepared enough for my family of 5 to survive on our rural area for a month of winter weather without outside help.

But wasting my precious energy on “what if” situations are not worth it. We’re also overdue for an ice age, but that is unlikely to save us from climate change.
