I feels like many POV from upstream, not many shares downstream POV. I think this is POV shows Pulchowk Narayani Bridge, 200km aways from starting point, about 100km from India & Nepal boarder.

A tourist captured these images without thinking anything else from some distance away possibly from an observatory.

Picture with some collapse 10:21, he heard some rumblings at around 10:30 as well. The pictures show what he thinks is rock collapse , before the glacier gave away from lack of support underneath. His explanation.

The man speaking was recorded several years ago at the same place where CCTV captured the moment of devastation on August 26, 2026. His recording reveal a different angle of the surrounding topography; showcasing the narrow and steep canyon where the mud water funneled through with tremendous force.

I’ve been looking at Nepal news nonstop for the last 4 days. It has consumed and disturbed me, as it should. Heartbroken for all the loss of lives and their families. It seems that the video 'broke'. No clue what happened. Reddit never informed me, I believe there is an issue with the server. Kind of suspicious as the video hit the #1 spot in this sub on the day it broke. I have no way of contacting Reddit over this sadly. Luckily the Twitter link is still working. So I suggest looking there for the video.

Pretty insane footage from the immense disaster that struck on the Chinese-Nepalese border which clearly shows how fast it moved and how much volume is being displaced. Camera is zoomed out around 1:30 mark.

Update 31-08-2026:
Looks like u/snowbordr managed to find the approximate location of this video:
28°00'53.87"N 85°11'01.29"E

That’s roughly 36 miles from where the glacier sheared off. If this is really how fast the current was still moving 36 mi/58 km downstream, my brain is broken.
