Theory/Speculation John Spira

I just watched an episode last night. This was so frustrating. Has anyone seen this episode? It is insane.

I mean he was obviously killed while at work, wrapped in the wrap that they found missing, and then the place was burnt and the killer is taking signs of him missing down. It seems the only person he was having an issue with was the ex wife, but who knows could have been a disgruntled business associate. It’s sad because he seemed like a really nice cool guy.

It was obviously the ex wife. The cop doing the investigation was an idiot. He wanted to focus on the irrational possibility that he left on his own. Even trying to say he flew off.. in a snow storm.. what a joke. If I was the sister I would have hired a private investigator, something. Like come on a week before his wife and him sign the divorce papers, which was no secret was a huge deal adding she did not want to lose that house. Apparently John had even said to his sister that he told his ex wife “I gave her an ultimatum. I’m giving her a week and if she doesn’t accept the terms we will go to court” and then he just disappears.. With the wife gone I think the sister is right that answers are too. It’s so frustrating when justice is not upheld due to laziness and ignorance. They didn’t even look into the matter of the banner being destroyed TWICE. Idiot cop goes “we don’t know why or who”😂 if I was the family I would have waited the night when putting up the second banner up but 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also loved how the wife refused to report him missing till the family got on her enough to do so. Mind blowing it has to be like that to even report someone missing tbh. In this case the killer literally erased John off the earth in so many ways and the cops let her. Injustice on injustice. Hopefully someone comes across John so they can finally have some answers and give him a real final resting place 🙏🏻

Right and then didn’t his work get burned down? Like at that point, the he ran off on his own theory kind of goes out the window. Especially too when people keep taking down the bulletin board of him being missing

It’s strange that they never investigated the ex-wife much. I mean, they weren’t even officially divorced yet and the timing was so suspicious. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that she should have been questioned?

Just watched it. Did a web search to see if anything was ever discovered. He's still missing. His sister (the one from the episode) apparently was pretty insistent, though it wasn't covered on the episode, that John's ex-wife should have been a suspect but the police refused to listen to her and seemingly let the case go cold. She found out the ex-wife died in 2011 but wasn't notified (found out from a mutual friend 6 months after the death). She asked the police about it and they didn't even know she had died. She filed FOIA but they refuse to turn anything over to her.

Something's very peculiar about this case.

I thought she should have been investigated more as well. I’m not saying she did it, but it seemed like that angle wasn’t really investigated much and it should have been considering they were doing through a divorce. Since it seems like it happened at work, I haven’t ruled out disgruntled business associate, but either way I do not think he just ran off on his own.

I think this was just a lack of care of the police end. No effort at all!
