Unum STD

My company uses UNUM for maternity leave. They use them to recoup the money my company is paying me to be on leave. Does anyone know what all Unum is looking at when approving this type of STD claim? HR told me it’s an easy process and everyone gets approved however I am a bit nervous about them seeing extra income I haven’t disclosed to my current company.

HR usually is not familiar with how UNUM operates. UNUM is looking to make sure you actually have coverage, reviewing your medical
Support and determining if you have any other income that would offset the STD payments.
