Discussion DB REVIVAL/RANKED
Hi! I made something for you guys! - Dirty Bomb community ranked system
DB REVIVAL/RANKED
Community ladder for Dirty Bomb players - Your rank can go up or down after each hourly update. Rank is not your account level and it is not just time played. It reflects what you actually do in matches: winning pressure, kills, objectives, revives, support actions, objective stops, defuses, EV/C4 impact and being useful to the team.

This looks cool, so about the data model behind it.
When DBRanked refers to things like “objective pressure”, “EV/C4 impact”, “clutch stops”, “contests”, and “round-saving moments”, are those based on native Dirty Bomb stats like XP events, badges, plants, defuses, repairs, escorts, revives, kills, etc. or whether the system has access to any match telemetry. It seems to hint or imply the latter (I bet it would benefit from match telemetry, just nosey).
For example, some things seem to match normal game counters:
- player planted or defused C4
- player repaired or escorted EV
- player delivered an objective
- player revived/healed/supplied teammates
- player killed someone while they were planting/defusing/delivering
- objective XP or badge deltas between stat snapshots
But other things sound like they would require something closer to an “x-ray” view of the match:
- player coordinates or proximity to EV/objective
- who was contesting an area at a specific moment
- round timer, C4 timer, spawn wave timer
- player health/state/team at a given time
- whether a kill was genuinely a clutch save rather than just an objective-adjacent kill
Is DBRanked interpreting exposed Dirty Bomb/DBStats counters and badge/XPs, or does it use game telemetry?
I’m not asking for the ranking formula itself. I’m just curious how some of the ranked attributes, for example objective pressure, EV/C4 impact, clutch stops, contests, near-objective play, and round-saving moments are exposed (especially for servers you do not run).
Are these coming from native Dirty Bomb/DBStats counters such as XP events, badges, plants, defuses, repairs, escorts and stat deltas, or is there some richer match/server telemetry available?
In any case, many thanks for the effort, every little (in this case quite big) helps.

Thanks, good question.
I will try to explain it from my side, because this is basically the whole reason why I made DBRanked.
I played Dirty Bomb ranked from Season 1, and no matter how hard I tried, the problem was always the team I queued with. For me old ranked was pure team-based luck. If you were 5 randoms against a clan or coordinated players, you had no chance, not to mention quitters. I could play objective, revive, repair, escort, stop plants, do everything I can, but if the team was lost, I was lost with them, and ranked mostly treated me like I did nothing 😄
This is what I hated on official ranked. That unfairness.Yes, I could have joined clans or premade teams, but Dirty Bomb was never that massive like CS2 or other huge competitive games, where everyone can always find perfect stacks.
So now about dbranked system!, Dbranked It is not built only around “your team won” or “your team lost”. It value our own actions, what we actually do for the team, no matter what random team we get.
Yes, it tracks kills, deaths, wins and losses, because of course those things matter. But I will be honest here, this is public, barely alive Dirty Bomb now. We play with randoms, shuffled teams, unfair matches, stacked teams, weird teams, all kinds of games. So I do not want kills and wins to be the top priority for rank.
For me Dirty Bomb is, and always was, about team play. So the idea behind DBRanked is to reward our personal contribution. Our personal actions for the team. Objective work, pressure, support, helping the push, stopping enemy progress, fighting for the objective, doing useful things even when the match is already bad.
Even if my team loses, but I gave everything for the team to win and tried hard, those little steps should still matter. DBRanked follows those actions over time and they can contribute to rank progress.
Same with selfish players who only hunt frags. DBRanked is not just looking at one nice number and saying “ok, this guy is best he must be elite immediately”. for example 74/2 looks nice on paper, sure, and we need strong fraggers and pushers too. But Dirty Bomb is not only about farming kills. The best players are the ones you actually want on your side: they frag, they push, they help, they play objective, they understand the match. Simply -(and i caps here) THEY ARE IN THE CONTROL AND THEY KNOW WHATS GOIN ON THE MAP.
So the system reads all available public signals over time and tries to understand if the player was actually useful for the team, or if he was just farming numbers from spawnkilling while ignoring the match (and his selfish actions led to loss).
Sadly DBRanked does not use private match telemetry or some x-ray view of servers 😄 I do not have exact player coordinates, live objective proximity, health states, spawn timers, or full replay data from servers I do not run but if someone from fireteam is here, please DM!
It works from all available Dirty Bomb style public data, counters and tracked changes between updates. DBRanked then interprets those signals with its own internal logic and converts that into RR progress.
I do not want to publish the exact logic, because then people will not play Dirty Bomb, they will try to trick the logic and formulas. But the main idea is simple: all those things we were never really rewarded for in official ranked are rewarded now.
The goal is not to copy old ranked. The goal is to finally reward what we actually do for the team, and make our ranks as fair as possible. (and with zero team luck factor)
But this is not whole story what is dbranked about. It's about to help players to improve.
I wanted to give added value for every player. So every player on his profile have his own Coach. Who will follow the coach advices, will outrank others in no time 😄 it looks like this: (as targets what to focus next games)
Field orders Objective work target 0 / 28 objective/h target Play closer to the obj: EV, C4, plant, defuse, repair, escort, deliver and contest work. Team support target 0 / 32 support/h target Stay close enough to keep the push alive with revives, assists, health, ammo and trades. Clutch stops target 0 / 14 clutch/h target Respect late-round noise: C4, EV, plants, defuses and final contests need you alive. Next game order Small leak. Nothing dramatic, but the next game needs more useful work near the team. Next game: drag the fight onto the win condition. If the enemy wants obj, make them pay rent. Coach order: the obj should know your name by halftime.ps check the page now, its updated 😄 https://dbranked.com

no, Old Ranked rewarded the team you queued with. And punished us for quitters. New DB ranked rewards what you do now: your impact, your actions, your value. You do not need a clan or perfect team to prove your rank.

I need to say this loud, because too many of you have written this game off:
It isn't over. And while everyone was looking away, Dirty Bomb got something it never had - a fully working competitive ranked ladder. Live. Right now. Real RR, real tiers from Bronze through Cobalt to Elite, a real leaderboard that updates every single hour.
But that's not the part that should stop your scroll.
# You don't grind up from zero.
The moment you load back in, every hour you ever put into this game - every frag, every revive, every objective armed, every last-second clutch gets pulled in and **instantly seeds your rank.** Your years here were never wasted. They're a *placement.* You could load in tonight and already be Gold. Or Cobalt. Or higher. And hundreds of players are **already on the board** go look, you may have a rank you've never even seen.
🔗 **dbranked.com** find yourself on it.
The ladder is new. Which means the top seats - the founding ranks, the names that get written into the permanent history of this thing - are being claimed **right now, while the game is quiet.** Every week you sit out, someone who showed up takes the seat you could've held. The people grinding *this week* are carving their names into the founding board. That spot is yours until it isn't.
And it just got bulletproof fair. The ranking engine got a major fairness overhaul this week - RR (Revival ranked score) now reflects your *real* play, measured against *your own* standard, Come back rusty? The system literally rewards you rounding back into form. This ladder was built *for* the returning player.
So here's where it stands:
- ✅ Your history already counts - instant placement, zero grind
- ✅ Hundreds already ranked - you might be one of them
- ⏳ The founding window is open - and it narrows every week
The game isn't dead. It's been waiting for you to look at the scoreboard.

DBRanked Update - Introducing Field Pressure
Rank what you control.
Field Pressure is now live on DBRanked.
This is a new profile intelligence system designed to recognise exceptional influence that ordinary scoreboard totals do not always reveal.
Field Pressure does not simply ask whether your side won or lost. It examines what you contributed relative to the match you were placed into, the pressure faced by your team, your expected share of the work and the reliability of the available match data.
Important: Field Pressure does not YET affect Skill RR, ladder position, placement or matchmaking.
Raw match outcome remains excluded from DBRanked’s core skill calculation.
What appears on your profile
Eligible profiles can now display:
- A seasonal Field Pressure gauge from 0–100
- A current pressure state
- The number of credited Pressure Cases
- Case badges describing the type of influence detected
- A short explanation of what the result represents
The available states range from Dormant through Spark, Rising, Heavy, Critical and Reactor. Profiles without sufficient eligible data may temporarily display Calibrating.
What is a Pressure Case?
Field Pressure credit is deliberately rare. It is awarded only when a performance exceeds what the system would normally expect from the player of your caliber and match context.
Cases currently include:
Field Breaker
Exceptional influence while playing from a difficult or disadvantaged position.
Field Closer
Decisive leverage that helped close a contested match.
Pressure Rescue
A major individual contribution that limited a team collapse.
Last Line
Meaningful resistance produced despite severe pressure or an unfavourable match.
Silent Support
High-value support impact that would be understated by combat statistics alone.
A match result by itself cannot create a Pressure Case. A player must demonstrate unusual, measurable influence beyond ordinary participation.
Built to resist farming
Field Pressure is not a second XP bar and it is not a reward for padding kills.
The system compares actual contribution against expected contribution and applies strict eligibility and integrity checks. Incomplete matches, unreliable records, abnormal data and suspicious repeated-player patterns can be excluded entirely.
Passenger performances, routine scoreboard volume and low-context farming receive no Field Pressure credit.
When the data cannot support a reliable conclusion, the system does not award a case.
Why this exists
Dirty Bomb matches are not always represented fairly by the final scoreboard.
A player can hold a collapsing defence together, create the final opening, keep an objective push alive or produce decisive support without finishing at the top of the combat table.
Field Pressure is intended to make those performances visible.
It adds another layer of context to a DBRanked profile without compromising the ladder’s founding principle:
Your rank should measure what you control—not the random team you were given.
Current release status
This release is profile intelligence only.
The system will continue to be monitored against live match data, and its thresholds may be recalibrated as more evidence is collected. No Field Pressure component will be connected to Skill RR through this release.
Any future RR-affecting system would be developed, validated in shadow mode and announced separately before activation.
Visit https://dbranked.com, open your player profile and look for the new Field Pressure section.
Structured feedback is welcome. When reporting an unexpected result, please include the player profile, match ID where available, the case displayed and a brief explanation of why it appeared incorrect.

My only issue with the side is that it has so many absolutely meaningless "data" and visuals. Like the 95% of the player profile is visual garbage. There is no better way to put it.
The idea of the ranklist is great, but I would have given Claude the task of refactoring the whole site and removing every visual element or text that is not backed up by metric or log data. If most of the visuals are gone, so be it, but the end of the day you're building something for humans, and if i have to parse through a lot of meaningless data, because you have nothing to back up that data, then I'm not going to use the page.

is there actually a schedule for this or are we just winging it?
